Top 10 children’s brands from Paris
Welcome to Paris! Today we will take you on a tour of 10 children’s brands from the ‘city of love’. We will talk about children’s fashion designers who have long made a name for themselves internationally like Eleven Paris but also younger, emerging labels like Gabriel & Valentin. There was so much going on at Playtime and KID Paris, that it becomes so hard to boil it down to just ten inspiring labels. It’s safe to say that Paris is certainly a fashion capital in the children’s market – let’s take a look at some brands from Paris:
Oscar et Valentine
For the past years, Oscar et Valentine has been a brand not to miss. It has been around since 2004 when Stephanie Lenoir founded it focussing on bringing cashmere to baby’s and children’s wear. As a mother of 3, Stephanie Lenoir puts special care and passion in her creations to bring tenderness to babies and children clothes.
You can find the soft sweaters and body suits on their online shop and through other online retailers like Melijoe or Vestiaire Collective
Bleu comme gris
The name is slightly misleading as there are no grey colours in the children’s wear collections made by this Parisian label called Bleu comme gris. Bleu comme Gris (founded in 2008) mixes quality materials likes Cashmere or fur and French refinement for a colourful collections for babies and boys and girls (up to 16 years old). Vanessa opened the first Bleu comme gris boutique in Faubourg Saint Germain with a first collection focussed on casual chic wear for every day. Nowadays the brand has expanded to four stores in Paris, one in Lyon and is present in over fifty retail stores all over the world.
Gabriel & Valentin
Not related to the label Oscar et Valentine we mentioned earlier, Gabriel & Valentin was also created by a woman. Nathalie Scemama is the mother of 3 boys: Valentin, Gabriel and Alexandre
The brand focuses on high qualities and a pure style for the little ones. Her collections reflect her own experience as a fashion model but also her love as a mother and her passion for beautiful things.
Gabriel et Valentin’s collections have a clean, very elegant look, contemporary and refined with soft mineral colours. You can find their clothing in their own boutique in the 6th arrondissement, online and in twelve offline retail stores in Europe, the USA and Japan.
Little Eleven Paris
You might have already heard of and seen Eleven Paris but did you know that the Parisian designers have also introduced a label for children: Little Eleven Paris.
Just as the creations for adults, Little Eleven Paris is all about creative and contemporary styles. “Cool kids with style” as they title it on their Instagram account. Little Eleven Paris proposes a full wardrobe for fashionistas from four years to 14 years old. You can find the colourful collections on their own online store, through other retailer stores and their own three stores in the Paris region, in the Marais area, on Etienne Marcel street and a bit outside the city centre in Levallois-Perret.”Pulling design inspiration from a minimalist spirit, pop culture, rock references and an undeniable air of Parisian nonchalance, their children’s fashion brand, Little Eleven Paris, is the go-to line for pint-sized urban-chic silhouettes.”
Another well known brand found its way on our list: Bonpoint. Some call it Paris’s fashion house for children with “its spot-on style, poetic universe tinged with humour and magic, inspired window displays and warm atmosphere”. You can feel this atmosphere for yourself in their flagship stores in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris and on Madison Avenue in New York.
Bonpoint creates classic, elegant outfits that will never be out of style. Their history has proven them right. In addition to their own flagship stores in Paris and New York and online stores you can also find their boutiques in 27 countries from Europe, the USA and Asian cities like Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
If you want to shop Les Enfantines for your little ones, we suggest you visit one of their two beautiful stores in Paris or their online shop. You can also take a trip to another Les Enfantine store on the French holiday island destination l’île de Ré in the city of Les Portes-en-Ré or a bit farther away to visit their boutiques in Porto, Portugal and Bruxelles in Belgium.
Rive Droit Paris
Rive Droite Paris refers to the right side of the river Seine that flows through the city where the three founders Aurélie, Sofie et Yasmine met. While Paris is their site of design, Casablanca in Morocco is where they have their atelier. Rive Droit Paris combines up cycling and a lifestyle brand – using recycled material to create products that make life a little sweeter. For parents, children and friends.
You can find their up styled products in nine offline retail stores in Paris, five online only stores like Melijoe or little fashion addict and in other countries like Finland, Switzerland, Morocco and Japan. And of course, you have them available 24/7 on their own website.
Pâté de Sable
Pâté de sable – cakes kids make out of sand on the beach or at the playground. The name suggests a warm summers day spent lazily playing around in the sun and water – and Pâté de Sable’s swimwear collection makes this day a bit more beautiful.
Big towels, cover-ups, bikinis, one piece swim suits, swim dresses and skirts… there are many different options and many beautiful patterns to choose from.
Moulin Roty, a label originally focused on toys gifts for newborns or rather their parents has recently extended its line to also include comfortable clothing for babies ages three months to two years. The brand has been on the market since 1972 and offers 800 products from cuddly toys to wooden toys and now to new textiles including jackets, leggings and onesies.
More and more cuddly toys and textiles leave their production facilities to travel to faraway destinations like Japan, the United States of America or even Australia.
Lili Gaufrette was launched in 1998 by founder and designer Catherine Wollner and is the last (but not least) of the Parisian children’s brands we are presenting today.
The brand combines chic and comfortable designs for every day wear with natural durable materials and soft colors for girls. Soft colors, sweet designs and comfortable wear for playing and dreaming. You can find the cute dresses and accessories across many online retail stores and soon on their new website as well.
